The original was hand carved out of wax. Medicine Bear put a eagle claw on his bench and tried to replicate the claw. Working this small of a scale in wax is very difficult. This was his second design done in wax.
The Eagle Feather to the First Peoples of the Americas is very significant because the eagle flies close to the heavens. We use the eagle feather in ceremonies and other special occasions. To be blessed with an eagle feather is one of the highest honors in our culture.
