Created to commemorate the 150th Anniversary of Treaty No. 6 (1876–2026), these earrings honour one of the most significant agreements in Canadian and Indigenous history. Each earring features the Treaty No. 6 flag with the historic image of a First Nations Chief and a Crown representative shaking hands—a lasting symbol of the treaty relationship and the commitments made between the Nations and the British Crown.
Originally designed by Medicine Bear, these brass earrings measure 25 mm high by 13 mm wide, matching the original pendant design. Lightweight and meaningful, they are created for everyday wear while carrying a powerful story of identity, history, and resilience. The reverse of each earring is inscribed with Medicine Bear's initials as a mark of authenticity and original Indigenous craftsmanship.
Whether worn as an expression of pride, education, or remembrance, these earrings recognize the enduring importance of Treaty No. 6 and the generations who have worked to uphold its spirit. They serve as a reminder that treaties are living agreements, carrying responsibilities and relationships that continue to this day.
