 It is the 2nd rarest gem on the earth. The Gem originates from prehistoric marine fossils that date back 70 million years.

 The combination of heat and pressure from the earth caused the shells of the Ammonites to turn beautiful iridescent colors.

These array of colors are found only in the Bears Paw Belt formation in the Blood Tribe's traditional territory in Alberta, Canada.

 The gem is said to awaken positive energy in the person who wears it. Ammolite is also known as the gem of enlightenment.
