We created this piece to raise awareness about the ongoing impacts of residential schools and the colonial system, which attempted to eradicate our people.

Today, our communities continue to face the painful reality of First Nations children in care and the intergenerational trauma that has followed.

This piece was a novel, first creative design  I took the format and developed it into something that people could wear proudly. The Every Child Matters piece was made to be worn in public as a way to spark conversations, educate others, and honor the children who never returned home as well as the survivors who carry these stories forward.
